Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about DealCycl — pricing, features, data ownership, and migration.

Getting Started

Is DealCycl Company really free for early-stage founders?

Yes. The Founder Edition is $0 forever — not a trial, not a teaser. Full cap table management and document repository for up to 25 stakeholders. When you grow beyond that, you graduate to a paid plan at prices you can see right now.

When does DealCycl Company launch?

DealCycl Company launches April 27, 2026. Join the waitlist to get early access and be notified when we go live.

How does migration from Carta work?

DealCycl supports direct Carta data import. Export your cap table from Carta in CSV or XLSX format, and our import tool maps it automatically. We're also building a one-click migration flow for launch.

Pricing

What does the 3-year price lock mean?

When you subscribe to a DealCycl paid plan, your price is locked for 3 years from the date of purchase. DealCycl will not increase your plan price during that period, regardless of any general pricing changes.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. DealCycl offers one-click cancellation on all plans. There is no retention team, no required phone call, and no cancellation fee. Paid plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Features

What corporate documents can I store?

DealCycl Company supports 7 document categories: certificates of incorporation, board resolutions, bylaws, NDAs, employment agreements, insurance certificates, and other corporate documents. Upload and version-control your governance files in a secure, auditable repository.

Does DealCycl offer 409A valuations?

DealCycl provides 409A package export — a formatted data package that you can provide to your preferred 409A valuation firm. DealCycl does not perform in-house 409A valuations at launch.

What is the Open Cap Table Format?

OCF is an open standard for representing cap table data, developed by the Open Cap Table Coalition. DealCycl supports OCF export natively, ensuring your data is portable and never locked in.

Data & Trust

Who owns my data?

You do. DealCycl provides contractual data ownership from day one. Your data is never sold, shared, or monetized. You can export all your data at any time in multiple formats.

How is DealCycl different from Carta?

DealCycl offers contractual data sovereignty (your data is never used to broker trades or contact investors), published flat-rate pricing with no per-stakeholder fees, one-click cancellation, and a free Founder plan. Carta charges per stakeholder, does not publish pricing, and was involved in a data incident in January 2024. See our full comparison.
